Shipping Fee Changes

Shipping Fee Changes

Please note that effective January 14th, 2019 free shipping will no longer be available unless otherwise advertised. We will continue to subsidize all shipments, as we have always done, but there will be a small fee associated with all shipments.

Those fees (shown in Canadian dollars) are as follows:

For regular tracked shipping the cost to customers is $10 for Western Canada and $15 for Eastern Canada and the territories.* For regular tracked shipping to the United States the cost is $10. For tracked shipping with signature to the United States (delivered by DHL Express Worldwide) the cost is $30. For shipping to the UK via regular tracked service the cost is $20. For DHL Express to the UK, the cost is $35.00.

All shipments over $200 require tracked shipping with signature. This is to ensure your package is securely delivered to you and to protect your purchase. This service is especially critical in the case of limited edition items that cannot be replaced. While this service is available at a nominal extra cost to Canadian customers (which we cover for you), the option is not available to American customers without an additional fee. This is because we must use DHL Express in order to obtain a customer signature.

We recognize that some of our customers will be disappointed that free shipping over $100 is no longer available but we had to make a choice. Keep our pricing as low as possible or continue to subsidize shipping to the extent that we were. Doing both was no longer a viable option with many shipments either seeing us just break even or take a small loss. We held out as long as we could. Ultimately we decided that we don’t want to artificially inflate the cost of items to cover shipping.

"And whatever the FDA does from here, combustible cigarettes will be left unscathed and widely accessible. Almost half a million Americans die from smoking-related causes each year, and more than half a million have been diagnosed with lung cancer at some point in their lives. And vapers are implicitly being encouraged to return to smoking." (Michael McGrady)
