We’ve been getting a lot of messages from customers asking if we are open. We are, it’s business as usual at SaddlehorseBlues and we continue to process and pack up all orders as they are received. We’re also around to take any questions all through the week.
The only thing that we have switched is how often packages ship. We’ve dropped shipping days from five days a week (Monday through Friday) to three. We’re based in a small, rural community- the kind where everyone knows each other and pitches in when there’s trouble or need. The wonderful women who operate our local post office continue to come to work every day to make sure no one’s mail is delayed but it’s stressful for them. They’re listening to the news and hearing the warnings just like the rest of us and they know that in order to serve their community they’re also putting themselves at increased risk, even with all of the extra precautions that the post office is taking.
We figure the least we can do is to drop back shipping to three days a week to minimize the number of people dropping into the post office during the day. (Don’t worry- the post office only allows one person at a time, with social distancing and sterilization practices fully in place.) This is more a mental break for our postal workers than anything. It helps that they’re not seeing throngs of people passing through their doors every day- it’s just less stressful. And in this time of great stress, whatever we can do to help out, we’re happy to do- for our immediate community and for our vape community.
Until things settle down a bit, all orders will be shipped on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday. (So if you order on a Tuesday your order will ship Wednesday, for example.) We know that if anyone understands the importance of community, it’s our vape family. We appreciate your support, as always. Now, more than ever, we’re reminded of the importance of community bonds and we’re so grateful for all of you. Take care of yourselves and each other!
